roads, parking decks, heavy duty pavements) and asphalt reinforcement.
Technical and economical criteria for the determination of the most appropriate product
(steel, glass, PET, PP, HDPE, etc.).

Maccaferri.
ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟ ΣΗΜΕΙΩΜΑ ΟΜΙΛΗΤΗ
Marco Vicari is a Hydraulic Engineer from the Bologna University and has 16 years of
experience with the Maccaferri company in the field of pavements, river training works
and reinforced soil structures.
As responsible of the R&D activities in Maccaferri, he has developed the specific
MACSTARS software for the design of reinforced soil structures (RSS) with Maccaferri
solution and its application to build RSS around the world.
He is presently International Technical Manager in Maccaferri Bologna, Italy.
Before joining Maccaferri he has worked at the Civil Engineering Department of Edison
(Milano, Italy), which is the first private company in Italy for electric power production
In 1991 he has completed a master in Environmental Engineering at Lausanne University
(CH), specialising in flood control and Bio-Engineering techniques.
